MES Support Consultant

Purpose

The MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) Support Consultant is responsible for ensuring overall Operation support of the IT applications & modules and mapping business requirements to system / technical requirement.
This function will work with external consultants during the design phase but will then take responsibility for MES application support and assistance in training users.
Responsibility

Ensuring stable business process continuation and improvement;
Ensure integration connection with other systems
Providing application maintenance, production support services to the satisfaction of NSRP, according to the SLA/OLA between NSRP and the Service Provider, required to align with ITSM procedure and policy;
Preparing and maintaining system documentation;
Responsible for operating with master data in NSRP IT system includes SAP / non-SAP and MES systems to ensure all systems work smoothly and effectively with consistency data which include creating, modifying, locking & destroying activities for master data area.
All enhancements and fixes are tested and deployed in accordance with NSRP’s policies and software vendor’s recommended procedures.
Ensuring technical and functional standards are observed in line with Application best practice guidelines;
Providing application support in the form of configuration changes, solution customization, bug fixes, changes to application objects;
Managing the incident management process from inception, escalation, resolution and closure;
Handling problems related to all NSRP applications like SAP, non-SAP, MES systems include troubleshooting, monitoring, reconciling which are required to align with ITSM procedure and policy.
Developing training materials and conducting end-user training;
Acting as a conduit between NSRP and offsite support in ensuring that incidents and changes are managed in accordance with the respective operating procedures and comply with accepted audit controls and service levels;
Participating in the various phases of solution testing and handover in order to facilitate post implementation support;
Carrying out knowledge transfer to NSRP's end-users and IT staff;
Providing proactive system improvement proposals in alignment with NSRP business process;
Working with technical teams of NSRP and support NSRP to resolve any issue arising.
Ensures master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
Ensuring appropriate user and system access within the current IT application landscape; All users are able to use the Applications for which they are authorized, at any location where they work, via the relevant interface and at appropriate and applicable agreed levels of availability, capacity, integrity, continuity, and security.

Educational: University graduated
Work Experience:
Minium 2 years Experience as an IT/MES functional consultant with at least 1 full-cycle project implementation.
Experience with IT/MES solution design / Implementation / Post Implementation support.
Project management experience is a plus.
Specialty/Qualification:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting/Business/MIS/Computer science.
Skills:
Strongly experience in MES, preferably oil and gas industry package.
Good knowledge of MES, Business processes, Configuration and Reporting, Authorization and integration with other system.
Lead requirement gathering sessions with client to understand requirement and identify gaps.
Serves as a senior subject matter expert associated with content, processes associated with business applications.
Responsible for planning, defining detailed requirements, analyzing business needs, designing and validating solutions with business team of client and developers to ensure delivery of the best solution to complex programs.
Ability to analyze and solve highly technical complex problems.
Successfully manage and contribute to multiple implementations ensuring project timelines are met, and client issues are fixed.
